Merry Meet, evryone!
I spent a lovely weekend in the city. I spoke at a writer's group on Saturday, had lunch with with my sister then dinner with writer friends. Before that, I spent some time in Barnes and Nobel with a coffee, magazine reads and a bit of browsing. That's when I found this gorgeous hand-tooled Tivoli leather journal from Tuscany, Italy. I wasn't sure what to do with it or if I could justify spending $40 on a journal so I left it there until Sunday when I decided the beautiful piece of craftsmanship would be a Mother's Day gift to myself.
While at B & N, I found a magazine with a project that intriqued me. There wasn't a lot else in Art Journal to make me spend $14.99. Back at the hotel I did a search for the artist. I figured I'd find more pictures of her work or maybe a youtube video about the process for the 'tag book' Art Journal showcased in their Apr/May/Jun 2022 issue of ART journaling.
During my initial research I found Jennifer Tritle... or thought I had. The one I found had passed away unexpectedly in March of this year.
Further digging this morning brought me to the ARTIST Jennifer Tritle. Sometimes we have to go a little deeper to find the true jewels.
This week's Affirmation:
When I put my attention on
good things,
I notice more of them
Blessed Be
