A new month begins! Summer Solstice will be here before we know it!
Merry Meet, friends!
We are in for a treat tonight night. A rare blue moon will appear in the sky. Why a 'blue moon' and what makes this one special?
First, a blue moon is when a full moon appears twice in the same month. This one appears on both the first day and the last day of this month. We were blessed with a full (flower) moon on Beltane, (May 1st) and we'll experience the next one tonight, May 31st. While we do have two full moons, I don't recall in my life time having them appear on the first and last day in a given month, nor could I find anything in my research. This will not appear again until 2053. If you're wondering, I will be 92. Do your math and see where you will be. Something to aim for?
This full moon in our terms means heightened energy providing a bonus round of magic. This is the perfect time to charge, tools, crystals, etc. I'll be setting out my charging plate and a few other things that need a good cleansing and recharging.
But what if it's cloudy? Does this mean less energy because we can not see the moon? No. Energy passes through barriers and obstacles. That is how the energy reaches within our tools and within ourselves. For more on the spiritual meaning of the Blue Moon, check out THIS POST on the Pagan Grimoire website where you can learn more about the magic and ritual suggestions.
I'm linking you to a video from a YouTube channel called 'Secrets of the Universe'. Within the video monologue you'll learn another interesting fact about this moon.
Blessed Be!

Merry Meet, friends!
Home after a long twelve days of creating and visiting with family. have something special to show you later in the week.
Merry Meet, friends!
By the time you see this post, I will be on my way home. Back to normal next week.
Merry Meet, friends!
I'm headed out on Friday to a junk journal retreat. Bob is going to hold down the fort. I'm scheduling all the blog posts so we don't miss a beat. I'll be home late the 27th. I hope you'll continue to visit in my absence. ~ Thank you!
Merry Meet, friends!
I hope you had a blessed weekend. Did anyone see the Easter comet? Please share link in the comments where you've posted pictures.
Merry Meet, friends!
Once again we have the opportunity to draw amazing energy from the Full Moon.
There are many names for this moon. Neo-Pagans refer to this as the Awakening Moon. The name makes perfect sense when you think about everything that is awakening from winter.
Celtic's refer call this the Growing Moon. English Medieval call this the seed moon and Colonial American's used the term, Planter's Moon. If you've not done so already, now is the time to plant seeds.
While this is the 'growing moon', the time between Full Moon and New Moon is the time to plant root plants, whether they are vegetable of floral rhizomes, for productive growth. I also realize this is not the best time to plant above ground seeds for optimum growth but with illness and injury the past few weeks, if I wait until the next rotation everything will have too late of a start.
I have a trip coming up mid-month. Please send all the positive energy my direction as Bob will be in charge of keeping those little seedlings alive about 10 days. LOL Last time, he didn't do so well. He forgot to open the green house and let air in. He fried those poor little leaves. :-) But he tried. He's just never done any of this before and didn't know any better.
Use this time as an awakening of your spirit. Stand in a shower (I love to do this in a gentle rain) and let the past gunk that cluttered your life and body over the past few months wash away. As the symbolic dirt flows away, think of all the other things in your life you want to let go of. Make a plan. Me, I'm getting rid of a lot of my paperbacks. Not sure where they're going yet, but they're leaving my office.
I hope you enjoy this new cycle.
Blessed Be!

Merry Meet!
We're closing out another month, as well as the first quarter of 2026. This year is already flying by. Remember to take time for you and for reflection.
Merry Meet!
How was your week? Two busy weeks in one month definitely need some down time & recharge this week.
Merry Meet!
Another busy week on the horizon. Have you made plans for celebrating Ostara? I'm definitely feeling the spring energy.
Our thought for this week:
Merry Meet!
I hope you all were able to enjoy the Lunar Eclipse as well as the Worm Moon. I told you we had a busy week.
Let's focus on this week now.
Merry Meet!
This is also known as the Storm Moon and if Ryan Hall knows anything, we're in for a varying weather pattern in the coming days. Be safe!
We are scheduled for rain but remember this very important point. Whether or not we can actually see the Full Moon isn't important. KNOWING the moon is there, even behind the cloud cover, in all its glory. Visible or hidden, the full moon is still full of very powerful energy.
This is also the time to start thinking about what you need to let go of. If you have the Llewellyn's Witches' Datebook, you'll find a ritual for 'letting go', shared by Brandon Weston.
I was planning on starting seeds indoors but now is not the time. I'll need to wait for the New Moon. However, if I were able to plant outside, this would be a great time to plant root vegetables. The time between Full and New Moons gives strength to the root plants.
I'll see you soon!
Blessed Be!

Today's thought:
Merry Meet, friends!
I created the images for Mondays but apparently failed to post them here. I didn't realize until I came in to do the New Moon post so let's get back on track.
Merry Meet, friends!
Blessed Imbolc! How are you celebrating?
I'll be making Creamy Potato Soup today. Aside from just for lunch, I'll be putting up several jars of dry mixes, making the dish a quick fix any time.
While I'd love to honor this day with a more lengthy blog post (I wanted it up yesterday), I'm still dealing with bruised/ cracked ribs so my time at the computer is limited. Each day brings me a little closer to healed.
Merry Meet, friends!
I hope your 2026 is off to a wonderful start.
Here's the first of what I hope will be words to ponder this year.
