LUNAR ECLIPSE TONIGHT - Spells8.com heavy

 Merry Meet, friends!

I've been a bit busy over here trying to find/ keep balance but the balls are juggling wild, but I did want to get in and talk about the 'partial' Lunar Eclipse for tonight.

Le't start with info from NASA - https://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/5672/

Thankfully, the Eclipse should begin in my area around 9:30 p.m. I'd earlier heard 11:30 p.m. and was wondering how I'd manage to stay awake for the event. I'm thinking fire ring, my lawn chair and some peace.

NOTE: Multiple links to Spells8.com follow

Now, things get confusing. Some say you should never do spell work during an eclipse, while other say this is a great time for energy work as everything is in perfect alignment. My take is, spellwork is all about intention. What I believe can happen when I put my mind to something. I found one article addressing this thought on Spell8. The article is HERE.

Spells8.com suggests:

Eclipse and Blood Moon Rituals

Each lunar eclipse falls within a specific astrological sign, enhancing the moon’s connection with these respective zodiac associations. This means that the area of life that a lunar eclipse affects will differ based on the sign or lunar transit it falls within. Adjust your rituals to fully embrace these elements and maximize your spellwork’s potential.

This article on Spells.com gives a bit of history behind an eclipse from different cultures, speaking on meditation, too.

I particularly like THIS devination spell.

If you do nothing else but sit and wrap yourself in the peace of the event. You will feel the blessings.

Blessed Be!

FULL MOON

Merry Meet!

Just a reminder that the Full Moon joins us tonight... in line with the Lunar Eclipse moving into Wednesday.  I hope you are able to enjoy this magical event.

This is also known as the Storm Moon and if Ryan Hall knows anything, we're in for a varying weather pattern in the coming days. Be safe!

We are scheduled for rain but remember this very important point. Whether or not we can actually see the Full Moon isn't important. KNOWING the moon is there, even behind the cloud cover, in all its glory. Visible or hidden, the full moon is still full of very powerful energy.

This is also the time to start thinking about what you need to let go of. If you have the Llewellyn's Witches' Datebook, you'll find a ritual for 'letting go', shared by Brandon Weston.

I was planning on starting seeds indoors but now is not the time. I'll need to wait for the New Moon. However, if I were able to plant outside, this would be a great time to plant root vegetables. The time between Full and New Moons gives strength to the root plants.

I'll see you soon!

Blessed Be!

PHOTO FRIDAY - Full Moon - Lunar Eclispe - Mourning Moon

 Merry Meet everyone!

This is our Mourning Moon and a Lunar Eclips. The eclipse should take place around 3:57 a.m. EST

You can see a map of viewing parameters HERE Enter your location and you'll get a pinpoint on the map. just pair up your location with the color bar on the right. I should have full visability. My challenge will be in either staying awake or being awake at that time. Maybe it's a camp out in the lawn chair kind of night.

I also found some lead-ins for how to honor the Mourning Moon HERE. Through a slide-show you're given four main points:

1 - Consider how you mourn

2 - Brave the Cold.

3 - Cleanse

4 - Send a Message

All great steps in honoring any full moon, however the point about considering how you mourn and allow yourself a good cleansing cry is a superb idea.

Cry them out, write them out then burn them out are stellar ways to get rid of the excess baggage and words unsaid.

Letting Go allows for more positive energy to come in.

Blessed Be
