MINDFUL MONDAY

 Merry Meet, everyone!

After a long absence of finding my space again, I'm ready to return to regular postings. Thank you to everyone who've enjoyed my Monday posts and for your patience. I may only have one more post this week - talking about what I have planned - then we'll be back to inspiring!

Blessed Be!

MEDITATION MONDAY - Affirmation

 Merry Meet, everyone!

I hope you made the opportunity to attend LlewellynCon2021. I tried, but my internet connection (and sometimes theirs) just weren't playing nice. Thankfully, you'll find them all on a YouTube Playlist HERE I'll be listening later this week once I have work caught up.

I am not going to apologize if some of these become duplicate posts. If they show up again, then we must need the reminder. In the mean time, I'm trying to pull cards out of the way so we might finish this pack then move on to something else.

MONDAY MOTIVATION

Merry Meet, everyone!

Did you celebrate the longest day of the year? What did you do? Inquiring minds and all that....

As I'm scheduling this post at the beginning of the month I'm hoping weather cooperated and I was able to have a fire ring... well, more rectangle because it's easier to mow around. But I've built a cirlce into one end of the fire space just for this purpose.

MONDAY MOTIVATION

 Merry Meet, everyone!

I've been super busy in the studio the past few days. I'm part of a creative collab called #7dayssummerdigi2021 with Dearjuliejulie and CaraBrandonCreations on YouTube. I'm on Julie's design team. I don't play much when Bob is home but he was out this trip so was happy to play with everyone.

I found today's quote by The Buddha intersting. Definitely something to think on in these troubling times and on this Memorial Day:

Blessed Be

MEDITATION MONDAY - Meditation

Merry Meet, everyone
I've accomplished a lot around here the past few days. Our temps have still been pretty chilly so I've planted the bush beans and finally got the onions in. Everything is just going to come in late this year. I have considered buying tomato plants to get them going while my seedlings mature enough to get into the ground. I want to can a lot of sauce this year.

Are you growing a garden? What type of plants/ herbs are you growing. Please share. We all learn from one another.

MEDITATION MONDAY - A Thought

 Merry Meet, everyone!

I'm not sure how I skipped scheduling today's Meditation. Rather than try to put things back in step, I thought I'd just pop in this guided meditation from YouTube.

MEDITATION MONDAY - Affirmation

 Merry Meet, friends!

Bob leaves tomorrow for his 21 days on the boat and I turn into a workaholic for those days. I am planning lots of creativity in there, too.

MEDITATION MONDAY - Meditation

 Merry Meet, everyone!

I am behind this week. Rather than having Sunday to write blog posts, I was driving back from a week in IA. Monday I was wiped out and my shoulders were in agony from the long hours behind the wheel.

Yesterday, I spent most of the day getting blog posts written/ scheduled for the author blog.

I have the rest of the Monday posts for this blog and hope to get a couple more scheduled before shutting down this morning. We shall see. I still have a video to make and it's bill paying day. Life just interrupts all my fun. LOL

MEDITATION MONDAY

 Merry Meet, everyone!

I think spring is truly here. We were blessed that our peach trees were not hit by the hard freeze a couple of weeks ago. The trees were loaded with blossoms, which have now turned out their leaves and will soon be setting fruit.

We've had these trees twelve years. One year they were loaded and the wildlife had a feast before we could pick them. In 2019, when the girls were here we got to split ONE peach between the three of us, that's all we got. Bob has yet to get a peach from our trees.

MEDITATION MONDAY

MEDITATION MONDAY

 Merry Meet

How was your week? I got a lot accomplished. Planted Beans, snow peas and onions. I managed to get the green house in order enough to get the seed trays going now that it's warm enough. Bob and a friend recovered the greenhouse last year and sealed it up good so I shouldn't have a mother wren stealing my seeds from the trays this year. I wouldn't have minded so much if her eggs would have hatches. I think it got too hot in the greenhouse for them. She tried two different layins without success.

MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION

While in a crafting chat yesterday I was reminded of something we all really need to do... slow down! I don't know about you but I seem to be constantly playing catch-up.

Today, for instance.

I've known since last Saturday what my blog schedule would be for the next three months. Yet here I am half way through Wednesday and finally posting.  Never mind that I totall never got to Monday or Tuesday. They will return next week, the energies willing.

I picked up this box set last fall at five below opened the box when I got home, bookmarked the on-line meditations link... then never looked at the product again. Geez!

When you think about their motto,  Let go - Have Fun you can see I pretty much missed that base as well.

The deck includes 2 types of cards as well as a card with the on-line guided meditation link and a video masterclass

The purple set of cards are for Affirmations.  I'll talk about today's draw in a minute

The sage set of cards are Quotes to Meditate On.

So this week, I am starting quiet time.

This week's card is:

ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD

To insure I stay focused, I'm propping this card up on my cell phone holder where I will see the Affirmation first thing every morning when I sit down to my desk, as well as periodically throughout the day.

Next, each Wednesday I will share the Quote to Meditate on. This one I plan to journal on... which will bring me to another post tomorrow or Friday.

Today's meditation comes from The Four Immeasurable Thoughts:

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings
were to live in equanimity, free of hatred and attachment!

How wondeful it would be if all sentient beings
had happiness and the causes of happiness!

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings
wer free of suffering and its causes!

How wonderful it would be if all sentient beings
were never separated from the
happiness of higher rebirth and liberation!

In our current state of things, I found it enlightening that this would be the first card I pulled for this practice.

Do you meditate? What do you use for meditation? I'd love to hear your thoughts on what you use and on this week's draw.

Blessings
~Rain

SUMMER SOLSTICE

According to a clip on Twitter this morning, over 9500 people gathered at Stonehenge to welcome the Summer Solstice. What an amazing sight that  must have been and the ground must have quivered with the energy.

Today, I'm introducing you to something a bit different. Diamonn Upshaw. Diamonn approached me some time ago on my music email account about checking out her music. She included a couple of MP3s and when I heard them, I was amazed by the oxymoron of such complex simplicity. Her sound was similar to Kitaro, one of my favorite meditation  artists. With a bit of tweaking, I knew she'd fit right into the groove.

At first I was apprehensive about sending her such a critique. Her music is beautiful as is, but I heard something else and wanted her to see an additional marketing potential so I linked her to something by Kitaro such as THIS album.

She was gracious in accepting my critique, played around with something and linked me to the video below:

In the comment section of the video I told her: I love your undertone... letting the music carry the listener. Almost as a channeling.

I also promised to introduce her to the Cauldron community. I hope you enjoy her music as much as I do and leave a comment on her video.
