SHARING THURSDAY - The White Witch Parlor

 Merry Meet, everyone!

This week, I'm sharing another YouTuber with you. I promise, I do go elsewhere but I love the visual and hearing someone actualy speak. 

This week, I wanted to share  The White Witch Parlor because she is speaking about something near and dear to me - familiars.

By now, most of you know that cats are my thing but any animal that comes to me for whatever reason gets the love and attention. I have a story to share with you in a moment, but first...  The White Witch Parlor - Jenna Caprice

I've watched many of Jenna's videos but this one from 2020 came up in my feed Tuesday morning and knew the timing was right:

A few days ago while visiting local downtown shops a sweet little yellow tiger kitten about 6-9 months old came running across the parking lot, just a crying... probably something to the words of 'hey lady!'

When she got to me and did the usual cat figure-8 around my legs, I scooped her up and cuddled her. She instantly wrapped her front paws around my wrist and licked my nose - "oh, thank you". Then she started gnawing on my fingers til she got to the middle finger - the finger she began sucking on til she was down to the first knuckle. I was so afraid she was going to choke. I had to put her down so I walked back into the parking lot a ways... hopeful she wouldn't follow. As much as I'd loved to have brought her home, I'm learning they come into my life for a reason - and not always to be adopted - darn it! Bob and I are in agreement I'm one cat short of the crazy cat lady.

Well, she followed but I got back into my truck. After making sure she wasn't under foot, I backed out of the space and watched her cross the street to the Neighborhood Art store. The front door there and the adjoining health food store were both open. She walked inside. 

My good deed for the day was to go to the grocery store and buy some cat food and take it back to the Neighborhood Art store where she seemed to have found a home. I know the owner. Emily is a cat lover (her boyfriend, not so much LOL) 

As a side note, it appeared as if she had just wandered too far from home. She was very clean and was sporting a brand new purple flea collar

Bob was impressed (and probably surprised) she didn't come home with me.

SHARING THURSDAY - MintFaery

 Good morning, everyone!

Saturday mornings are my relaxed mornings. I don't wake up uber early if I can help it. I also usually take my coffee and Belvita cookies to the sofa with the laptop until the LT battery needs charged. This is my YouTube time.

Last saturday, the video I'm sharing today popped up in my feed. I've followed MintFaery for a couple of years. She's fun and practical. Just watching her will bring a smile.

This time (from 2019) she was talking about an altar option with a mermaid/ healing vibe with items she picked up at the Dollar Tree. 

She inspired me to look at items more from a magical purpose/ intent rather than just seasonal. I hope you enjoy her video and subscribe.

This week's share is NOT a video. Surprised? Yeah, me too but I wanted to veer off the usual post and share someone else's blog.

I went to Google and did a search for Witchy Blogs. This is the first one that came up. 

Top 70 Witchcraft Blogs, Websites & Influencers in 2021

From what I can tell, Feedspot is a promotion venue that (for a fee) will promote your blog. Now that is kind of cool. I may have to check into their site more thoroughly for my creative and author blog. 

If you're looking to build traffic, particularly if your blog is a way to promote an Etsy shop or something similar, then you may want to check them out.

SHARING THURSDAY - Evolving Vibes

 Merry Meet, my friends.

You know how once you look up something on the internet, then similar other items begin to show up in your feed? The same is true of YouTube. Once you watch a particular category, other channels with the same content begin to appear.

That was true this week. I watch a lot of the witchy videos as one way to keep me grounded during my busy week. This week, I was introduced to Brian at Evolving Vibes.  

Brian's channel is very new. He's had his channel for less than a year but really imparts energy into his content. Brian also doesn't tell you what YOU have to do. What he does encourage is 'do what works for you.'

SHARING THURSDAY - Meet Teia Kennedy

 Merry Meet, my friends.

In case you've not guessed, I spend a lot of time on YouTube. That's where my crafting (as in creating) business is centered.

Thanks to algorythms (sounds so  metaphysical, doesn't it), I am often directed to other witch channels after I've watched some.  Last week, YouTube introduced me to Teia Kennedy. I thought I'd share her with you today.

Teia offers book reviews, history on tools, flip-throughs of her witch planner... a little of everything. What I love about Teia's channel is the presentation. She's not bouncing off the walls nor is she using a monotone voice that makes you want to take a nap. Instea, Teia sounds just like the rest of us, the witch next door if yu will.

Sharing Thursday - Magical Crafting

 Good morning & Merry Meet!

Several years ago I saw a book at a quaint little book shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I didn't have extra cash to spend. Now I can't remember the name of it and I've not been back to the store in a couple of years. 

YouTube University can be a curse and a blessing. Even if you don't believe in much that's out there, at least they can get the creative wheels turning. 

I found Magical Crafting a couple of weeks ago. I've not had a lot of time to check out the channel but wanted to share here - if for no other reason than I'll be able to find the place when I do have more time.

 Since I talked about Marisa Mohi a bit on Tuesday, I thought I'd share a bit more about her today.

Marisa Mohi is a go getter, though I'm not sure she'd agree with me. LOL In this video she talks about How To Get Stuff Done:

I've been following Marisa on YouTube for a couple of years. Not for the witchy aspect but for her encouragement when it comes to writing. She has meet-ups on her channel most Thursday mornings from around 10:30 a.m. to noonish where we have various timed writing sprints. Each participant works on whatever is on their agenda for the day. We are together - yet apart, all while encouraging one another.

This week's Sharing Thursday is a bit different. As opposed to sharing a YouTube channel, (well I kind of am), I'm more focused on a particular video.

I'm sure we've all seen Hocus Pocus. It's a fun, iconic Halloween movie. However, in most any movie produced there are always scenes that never make the final cut. This video from Disney Dave is about what part(s) of Hocus Pocus we never got to see. I hope you enjoy this video:

SHARING THURSDAY - JoBeth Sexton's Crafty Cauldron

 Today begins my favorite month in the entire year! I've been decorating like crazy, in spite of being sick the past week and a half. The house is finally beginning to feel like fall. So are the outside temperatures. Glorious fall weather!

Last week I introduced you to Lipstick Legion Craft. 

Jeneen is hosting a Halloween Tree Challenge. Everything except the tree and one other item must come from Dollar Tree. I'm linking her video for the details HERE. You have until All Hallo's Eve to join us! My tree is nearly finished. I step back and see something missing, add that, then step back and the process repeats. hehe... My tree is not a traditional tree as you'll see in the next week or so.
