Bob is back out on the boat and I will be doing whatever pleases me today. Today is my 61st birthday. As an author, today's affirmation seems serendipitous.

Bob's brother/ wife leave this morning right after breakfast. We had a good visit. Rhonda and I spent the weekend crafting. I worked on my October Daily albums, trying to catch up and get photos off my phone.
Bob will be home another week yet and my plan is for us to not do much.

Bob's been home a week. Nice to have him home and the house presentable. His youngest brother and wife arrive on Friday for a long weekend. Always nice to have them visit.

Things are running a bit more smoothly here. I've made progress on the studio, Bob will be home in a another week then company for a few days follows. But I'm breathing.

Goodness... with Bob only off two weeks last time and gone for most of the first week, things just got away from me.
I'm still working on the office, making three identical bee-themed journals (which I plan to finish this week!) Life seems to always be on the fast track. I do love keeping busy but my word!

I tried to get some time in before Bob got home to clean out my book shelves and antique wardrobe. Gave the altar a good cleanse - all things I've needed to do for a very long time. I still have too many books to fit on the shelves and no place to put another set of shelves. I'll keep you posted. LOL

I'm on the downhill side of getting things back in shape around here. Bob will be home Wednesday and my work time will shorten again
I've been working on getting the studio in order, making time for creating and getting ahead on August blog posts since he'll be home the first full two weeks.
I will say I've not accomplished as much on my book this month as I'd hoped but I have problems creating in chaos. With things in more order around here, I'm hoping that will change.

As I type this, another beautiful day is forecast for the Ozarks. Of course, it's supposed to be hot but it IS July. In spite of the heat, the heat, the garden is doing well. I've transplanted 12 new zucchini plants. We'll see how they do. Squash bugs got one of my first round before I caught them. If you have squash bugs and need an organic recipe for sending them on to their next life, let me know in the comments. I'm happy to share what works for me.

Time seems to be slowing down a bit... or I'm finally getting caught up.
I enjoyed the peaceful tank time last week. Was nice not to have to focus on anything. I put on some meditation music and let myself relax knowing everything will be fine.

I hope you all had a safe and blessed holiday weekend.
I spent the weekend prior at a solo writing retreat just trying to get business caught up. Bob and I spent a quiet 4th of July at home, set off a few roman candles and called it celebrated! Aren't we a fun couple? LOL
We will be blessed with a Full Moon tomorrow. I have plans to sit in my new tank 'pool' and soak up an abundance of energy.
He's gone back to work and I'm getting caught up around here. With the exception of paying bills again later this month, I don't have to leave the house! So ready for that.

I spent a lovely weekend in the city. I spoke at a writer's group on Saturday, had lunch with with my sister then dinner with writer friends. Before that, I spent some time in Barnes and Nobel with a coffee, magazine reads and a bit of browsing. That's when I found this gorgeous hand-tooled Tivoli leather journal from Tuscany, Italy. I wasn't sure what to do with it or if I could justify spending $40 on a journal so I left it there until Sunday when I decided the beautiful piece of craftsmanship would be a Mother's Day gift to myself.

I hope everyone had a Blessed Beltane. The weather here was just beautiful with the exception of wind, preventing me from having a fire ring. I did spend time outside, did a cleansing ritual and enjoyed the power of a New Moon. Such possibilities in the New Moon... possibilites we often allow the Full Moon to overshadow.

Wow... it's been a strong week. I have eight more days before Bob comes home. I've been getting blog posts scheduled into mid-May as well as the projects needed. Thanks to the lessons in Sarra Cannon's HB90 course, I've also made sure to schedule ME TIME into my week. I'm doing things that bring me job as well as taking care of business.

Bob's been gone almost a week and I've been plowing through everything on my KanBan board. I've been really focused, manifesting all that I want from this 2nd quarter... stepping blocks to quarter three and beyond.

I'm sorry I missed last week. Bob's first Monday home and we had things to do. With the ribs still fussing at me, there was no planning ahead.
On the upside, I'm able to do stuff again without too much issue of the ribs. I'm 'almost' back to 'normal'... whatever classifies as normal in my life LOL

I am typing this up as the temperature here in the Ozarks surges to 76*. The sun is shinning from a blue sky. Birds are seranading me outside the living room window....
... and I'm still not able to do much. My altar did not get changed as I'd hoped. Maybe I'll get in sync at some point. Though one of my five Red Lion Amarylis has two beautiful flowers.
Last fall, Bob and I planted over 140 spring bulbs. So far I've seen evidence of two. TWO! I swear the squirrels sit in the tree..
"hey guys, look at all that straw she's spreading. You know what that means? We're eating good this winter!"

I'm a bit slower today. I managed to fall on Saturday and pop a rib. Sitting is good, reclining with the hot pad is better so I'm at the desk in small increments of time. I am not one to be idle very long and since last week was my first week back in the office for 2022, falling behind again is just driving me nuts!

I don't know about the rest of you but for some reason I've really had a challenge finding my center this year. I didn't have this issue through the two years of a global pandemic but now, the sand seems to shift at every turn.
